ASPECT- A PARTICULAR MODE OF VIEWING
Welcome to the first instalment of our inaugural digital exhibition of 2020. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the physical edition of Aspect: A particular mode of viewing had to be postponed. However, fear not, as we bring you a digital edition, over the course of one week, previewing video artworks by each of the artists featured in the exhibition, culminating in an artist talk by the curator, and Assembly House studio holder, Archie Brooks, curator Beth Chamberlain, and artists from the show. Discover new artworks everyday from Monday 20 April - Friday 24 April, and join us at 6pm on Friday for a talk by Archie Brooks. You can also join us for the full exhibition, at Assembly House, once it's been rescheduled.
Aspect: A particular mode of viewing is an exhibition of video art by Archie Brooks, Beth Chamberlain, Madeline Thompson, Josh Hart, Alan Newham, Lucy Teoh, and Leo Gill. Curated by Archie Brooks and Beth Chamberlain.
Duration, light, space and sound weave together to films from different artists. Investigating how film can be used in contemporary art, this exhibition explores experimental ways of viewing, manipulating and experiencing video art.
