FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Do you offer work experience?

A: Unfortunately, with a small staff team of 5 who work 1-2 days a week, we don't have the capacity to support work experience or internships at Assembly House. We do, however, have a volunteering programme which we always love to welcome more people into, which you can find more about here.

Q: Do you have a kiln in the studios?

A: We do not currently have access to a kiln in the studios, however this is something that we are exploring in the future. Due to health and safety, electricity and other factors, we do not allow any kind of kiln, including household, to be used within the studios. Hopefully in the future, this is something that can be rectified through a community kiln at Assembly House.

Q: When and where do life drawing classes happen?

A: Our weekly life drawing sessions, See You Naked Monday, take place at Left Bank Leeds every Monday evening 6.30-8.30pm, except for Bank Holidays. There may be infrequent Mondays when the sessions do not take place, so keep an eye on the SYNM instagram. Tickets can be booked here.

Q: How does hiring the project space work?

A: Our project space can be hired out for events, with prices starting from £175 per day. You can find more information about the space and process here. Please include any time you will need to set up events or install exhibitions in your proposal.

Q: When do you open?

A: We are not open to the public at regular opening times, however we welcome anyone to get in touch with us to visit by appointment. Please get in touch with us at info@assemblyhouse.art to work out a time to visit us! We also regularly have exhibitions and events when the building is open to the public, so keep an eye on our programme for upcoming events.
