Has been with us-
Paul Millhouse-Smith is a multidisciplinary artist & fabricator, creating large scale interactive artworks. From audio and visual, to kinetic and the sensory, Millhouse-Smith creates opportunities for reflection on what our place is in the order of things.
Millhouse-Smith is interested in the connection between our historical past and our uncertain future. Through the exploration of technologies new and old the audience is asked to consider the impact of civilisation and how we might create a better world tomorrow. Drawing from sources ranging from ancient philosophy to theoretical science, the practice explores the cultural frameworks, technologies and developments that shape our world.
One of my favourite projects here has been working with the Assembly House team and West Leeds Mens Network to create The Armley Sculpture Trail.
