A child born in JA but raised in the UK, reggae is a tangible, immovable and beautiful lifeline to the lands many of us, of the various diaspora’s globally leave behind. Decades after it’s inception and a sustained period of success that has found its remnants located throughout various genres, it’s message of peace, unity, love and a never-ending struggle for freedom remains. Present day, what inspired reggae to begin with has not gone but metamorphosed into a hydra-esque beast that plagues us all. Olive branches signal the end, to new beginnings perhaps the answers lie in exodus. Perhaps we must all go home, but what home is now, do we know; and if so, how do we know?'
