About The Event
Lucif Neave and Milly Connor’s collective “PILLOW PRINCIPLES” present PEST:
A live contemporary ballet performance investigating the paradox “Freak of nature”and the mislabelling of bees as “pests”. Created with and performed by Milly Connor, the solo explores insectoid movements unique to a honeybee’s otherworldly capabilities. Often danced in a striking, stretched costume a distorted bee behaves like a mutated flower. A bee’s mother tongue: dance, showcased with the bees natural infinity, figure of 8 pattern against the gritty physical reality of pesticides. Intervals of original sound by Tobias Poffley swarms the space, followed by a recording of Jacob Clark’s interpretation of Chopin Ballade 3.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the dates for this show have changed from the listed dates on the programme - This will be a one night only show on Thursday the 23rd of July, with serval performances from 6pm til 10pm.
