About The Event
‘An Isolated State’ is an immersive exhibition debuting photographic and sculptural work from the artist Jacob Talbot.
Whilst exploring an abstract personal journey through isolation, the exhibition creates a space for conceptual art to be
interactive and accessible; providing a platform to provoke discussion around a shared experience within a post
lockdown world.
After winning the Signature Art Prize in the photography and film category earlier this year Talbot’s ‘An Isolated State’
showcases alternative contemporary photography alongside interactive sculptural pieces and challenges the barriers
between the two mediums.
The exhibition takes place in an old Armley Mill at the renowned ‘Assembly House’ studios in Leeds. The project has
been funded by 'Leeds Inspired’ as well as Leeds City Council allowing for a great insight into the up and coming art
scene within the West Yorkshire area.
‘An Isolated State’ runs from the 2nd December - 5th December 2021 and is free admission with a ticket.
