I predominantly work in acrylic and ink, often starting of a piece with a charcoal drawing. Building up messily in layers, turning the canvas and overlapping lines and colours gives me multiple avenues for deciding the final design.

I love to see the topography of a painting, small windows of my initial marks peaking through well worked areas of bold colours.
