Studios available at Assembly House

Updated: Jan 26

Are you an emerging artist, based in Leeds? We've got 2 large studios up for grabs and we want to hear from you.

At Assembly House we provide affordable studio space for early career artists and also promote and advocate for their work, provide exhibition opportunities and a warm and welcoming community to be part of.

We currently reside on the first floor of a Victorian mill in Armley, Leeds. We have over 18 other artists working in our studios and regularly host a varied programme of exhibitions, events, performances, film screenings, workshops and more.

After becoming a part of Assembly House artists also have access to kitchen facilities, on site parking and use of the large project space. Our artists also regularly volunteer at events, DIY days and help with the day to day running of the studios.

We are open to artists who want to take on a whole space alone or those who are looking to share. We accept artists working in most mediums, for example sculpture, print making, painting, drawing, video and sound art, installations, textiles. We are not currently accepting applications for wood working, joinery or metal working.

Please fill in the application form, giving us details about yourself, your practice and where you're at in your career. You can also indicate on the form if you are interested in sharing a space. You can find the form at: forms.gle/KL9RB4h2M3roBfks9
