Big things on the horizon...

We're thrilled to announce that we've been successful in gaining funding through the Arts Council England emergency funding scheme.

The funding will ensure that Assembly House remains resilient and sustainable during the difficult Covid-19 situation, and also allows us to provide opportunities to support a range of artists and communities.

Over the next 6 months we'll be announcing our programme in much more details but for now, let us say that you can expect artist commissions, some particularly targeted at artists in our local area of LS12, creative wellness resources, writing commissions, screen-dance artworks, digital practioner commissions, drawing workshops with professional artists and more.

We've also been able to cover and increase our staffing, meaning that our Studio & Programme Manager is able to put more time into the organisation and, for the first time, we'll be able to take on one of our Directors as a paid member of staff.

We'd like to say a huge thanks to Arts Council England for accepting us onto the programme and also the Guild team at East Street Arts, particularly Matt Allen, for all of their support in writing the application.

Stay tuned for more announcements in the coming months. There will be so many chances to get involved and experience some great art. Sign-up to our mailing list to hear about our opportunities and follow us on Facebook and Instagram for all the latest online events, screenings and digital art exhibitions.
